Patrick is the founder and managing attorney at Murdoch Legal, a boutique law firm specializing in corporate and transactional law. Patrick graduated from the faculty of law at McGill University and received his professional legal training while working as an associate at the offices of Shearman & Sterling LLP, a leading New York and international law firm.
Patrick left Shearman in 2011 and transitioned from the world of “big law” to working hands on with clients ranging from private equity firms and hedge funds, to tech startups. Patrick is admitted to practice law in the state of New York.
It was a pleasure to work with Patrick on updating our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Patrick took time to review our material, understand the business, and draft tailored terms to cover all services offered on our platform. Patrick is professional, responsive, and makes time to review the material and make revisions when needed. We'll definitely work with Patrick again. I highly recommend his services to any tech startup!
Patrick was incredibly helpful in drafting a Master Consultant Agreement for me that protected my rights and addressed my intellectual property concerns. It was easy to communicate with him, and his previous experience with startups and technology gives me confidence when I sign new business.
I had a great experience working with Patrick. I recommend him to others and will work with him in the future. He set up a Delaware corporation for me, and also reviewed my angel investments documents. He turned around work quickly, and I particularly liked that he would SMS me if he had a question that could be answered with a short or yes/no answer, rather than call or email me.
Patrick is a highly professional and very responsive attorney. He helped my partner and me incorporate our startup and completed several additional contracts related to the startup. Throughout the process, he kept us informed of his progress and completed everything on a very tight deadline. Would highly recommend him.
